Frequently Asked Questions
Brow lamination
What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination is a treatment that styles and fixes your eyebrow hairs. Special lotions temporarily soften the hairs so they can be brushed in the desired direction.
How long does it last?
On average between 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your eyelash growth cycle.
When is it not recommended?
Brow lamination is a safe treatment, but there are situations where it's better not to undergo the treatment (yet):
- Damaged skin around the eyebrows
- Very sensitive skin or allergies
- Recently done PMU or Microblading
- Over-treated eyebrows
Tip: If you're unsure whether brow lamination is suitable for you, please contact us first before booking an appointment.
Lash lift
What is a lash lift?
A lash lift is a treatment that lifts and curls your natural lashes from the root. This makes your lashes appear longer and fuller, without the need for eyelash extensions. At Chenoa's Art, you can get a standard lash lift or a Korean lash lift.
What is the difference between a lash lift and a Korean lash lift?
A normal lash lift is subtle and creates a natural look. The Korean lash lift gives that little bit extra, due to the more advanced technique used in lifting the lashes.
Lash lift ⟶ natural curl.
Korean lash lift ⟶ more intense lift.
How long does it last?
Lash lift: average 6-8 weeks.
Korean Lashlift: average 6-10 weeks.
Completely dependent on your eyelash growth cycle.
Teeth Whitening
Is teeth whitening dangerous or unhealthy for my teeth?
When teeth whitening is carried out correctly and with professional products, it is generally safe for healthy teeth. The treatment does not affect the enamel. However, it is important that your teeth, molars, and gums are healthy before undergoing a whitening treatment. For example, do you have cavities, inflamed gums, or other dental problems? Then we advise you to consult your dentist first.
Can I experience sensitivity after whitening?
Yes, it's possible for your teeth to be temporarily more sensitive after a whitening treatment. This is a normal reaction and usually subsides within a few hours. The degree of sensitivity varies from person to person. We advise you to follow the aftercare instructions after the treatment.
When can I come back for a follow-up treatment?
The frequency of follow-up treatments varies per person and depends on your wishes. Generally, we advise not to whiten too frequently in a row and to allow sufficient time between treatments. During your appointment, we can give you personal advice on when a follow-up treatment is suitable.
How long do the results last?
The duration of the results varies from person to person and depends on several factors, such as your eating and drinking habits, oral hygiene, and lifestyle. On average, the results remain visible for several months to 1 year. For this reason, we also offer a touch-up treatment. You can repeat this from time to time to maintain the desired results.
General Inquiries
The agenda indicates that you are fully booked. Is it possible to schedule an appointment outside of opening hours?
No. If the online agenda indicates that there are no available spots left, the agenda is fully booked for that day. Unfortunately, it is not possible to make appointments outside of opening hours.
You can sign up for the waiting list via the website. As soon as a spot becomes available, you will automatically receive an email and get the opportunity to book the freed-up spot immediately.
Should I come to my appointment without makeup?
Cleaning the area to be treated is included in your treatment, but we advise you to always come to your appointment without eye or eyebrow makeup.
Is there (free) parking available near the salon?
Yes, there is ample free parking available directly in front of the salon.
Can I undergo a treatment during my pregnancy?
This depends on the treatment. Most eyebrow and eyelash treatments can be performed during pregnancy. These treatments are generally not harmful to mother or baby.
However, please note that hormonal changes during pregnancy can affect the final result. With eyebrow treatments, it may happen that the dye does not adhere as well or last as long as you are used to. With lash lifts, the curl may fall out faster, and with eyelash extensions, it is possible that the extensions may fall out earlier.
For teeth whitening, we strongly advise against treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
If you are unsure whether a treatment is suitable during your pregnancy, please feel free to contact us.
